Is the Google reviews widget really free?
Yes. A free Zinng account includes one reviews widget for one Google Business location, with a small "Powered by Zinng" link under it. Paid plans add more widgets and locations and let you remove the link.
How often do the reviews update?
Every day, automatically. You can also press Refresh now in your dashboard to pull new reviews right away (once an hour).
Why don't I see all of my reviews right away?
Google only shares up to 5 reviews with apps like ours each time we ask. The widget saves every review Google shows it, so your collection grows as new reviews come in. Your star rating and total review count always come straight from Google.
Will it slow down my website?
No. The script loads asynchronously, after the rest of your page, and the reviews render in their own frame, so they can't break your site's styles.
Does it work with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and Shopify?
Yes. It works on any website that lets you paste a snippet of HTML, including WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow and GoDaddy. You don't need a plugin.
Can I show reviews from more than one location?
Yes, on paid plans. One widget can combine the reviews of up to 10 Google Business locations, depending on your plan. Each review shows which location it's for, and the star rating is averaged across all of them.
Do I need a Google API key or to sign in with Google?
No. You just search for your business by name and pick it from the list. There's no API key to set up and no Google account to connect.
Is there a limit on page views?
No. The widget has no page view limit on any plan, including the free one.
Can I choose which reviews it shows?
Not yet. The widget shows your reviews as Google provides them, newest first.
