Choose a specific phone number
Search available numbers by country, area code, digits or a word, then attach the one you want to an AI phone agent that has no number yet.
Your agent needs its own number to answer calls. You can pick one that is easy to remember, such as a number that ends in your favorite digits or spells a word.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- An agent with no number. On the AI phone agents page it shows a No phone number badge.
- A plan. Agents get a number only after you start a plan. See go live with a plan and a phone number.
Search and attach a number
Section titled “Search and attach a number”-
Open the drawer. On the AI phone agents page, select No phone number on the agent. The Attach a phone number drawer opens.

Pick the area. Choose your Country and enter a 3-digit Area code. The first digit must be 2 to 9.

Narrow the search (optional). Select More filters. In Search by digits or phrases, type up to 16 letters, digits or
*, for example1644orFLOWERS. Under Match To, choose Anywhere in number, First digits after area code or Last part of number. Select Clear filters to start over. -
Search. Select Search. The list shows how many numbers are available.

Pick a number. Select one, then select Purchase Selected Number.
Troubleshooting

Section titled “What if someone takes the number first?”If the number is no longer available, the search runs again. Pick another number from the new list.
What if my area code has no numbers?
Section titled “What if my area code has no numbers?”High-demand area codes can run out of numbers. Use a nearby number from Available nearby right now, or pick another for now and contact support to be reassigned later.
