How minutes work: monthly and additional minutes
Learn how voice minutes are included each month, which minutes are used first, which never expire and where to check your balance.
Voice minutes are the call time your AI agents use when they answer or make calls. Your plan includes a set number each month, and you can buy more that never expire.
Two kinds of minutes
Section titled “Two kinds of minutes”- Monthly minutes come with your plan and reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused monthly minutes do not carry over.
- Additional minutes are minutes you buy, or bonus minutes such as the free minutes you earn during setup. They never expire and carry over from month to month.
The monthly amount depends on your plan: 300 on Essential, 700 on Pro, 1,100 on Growth and 2,000 on Scale. See plans compared.
Which minutes are used first?
Section titled “Which minutes are used first?”Each call uses your monthly minutes first. When they are used up, your additional minutes cover the calls. The Monthly Remaining tile on the Usage page shows the minutes left “before using additional balance”.
Where do I check my balance?
Section titled “Where do I check my balance?”Open Team, then Usage. Total Available is your monthly remaining plus your additional balance, which is what you can use right now. The page also shows the date your monthly allocation resets.

What does not use your minutes?
Section titled “What does not use your minutes?”Web calls from your browser to test your agent are free. See test your AI phone agent.
How do I get more minutes?

Will I be warned before I run out?
